this one is a track of our/anlogue birds 5th CD. I was really in the mood to put something smooth on it! the melody is a traditional arabian for the oud, a short neck lute. the analogue birds performed as an quartett that time and an maroccan oud player was part of the ensemble. I asked him if he wanted to do the tune after I arranged a bassline and a drumpattern for it and put it into musical shape. first it was planned to do the theme just with an oboe. I already recorded the guide track with the oboe player, but for some reasons it never worked out. instead of that that, my neighbour and pubmate, coincidental a worldclass violin player, agreed on having a few hour recordingsession. he played the thing just from the sheet I printed out of "logic" for him:-)
the bassline I wrote never happened. instead of that a jazz organ player who provided the room for the drum recordings played some easy layers with his original b3/leslie on top of it!
my part as a didgeridooplayer and the role of the tube  is more of secondary nature. I still love the piece for its history and sweetness. its so different from all the powerpieces we made!

we did record this one as one of three takes. it will be realeased on our demo cd with 5 pieces in total. we did record it live in our rehearsal room, with clever microphone positioning. its didgeridoo, drumkit and kpanlogos, bass with some analog beautys as effects. its not mastered yet. as i saw everyone around here upload unfinished experiments i thought it would be a good idea to give you guys a  sneak preview on the rough mix of a of an analogue birds song. hope you like it somehow:-)
check www. analogue-birds.com for more
p.s. would be great if you would make the effort to rate the song.
